|  Since 1992, the Big Island Academy has
provided massage training programs for state and national certification.
Our training program is an approved curriculum to becoming
part of the Massage Therapy Vocational Trade recognized by the DCCA
Massage board of Hawaii Licensing. We are the only Academy in East Hawaii of the Big Island, in downtown Hilo. In a universal arena of healing, learning and Aloha, our graduates leave
empowered with superior skills taught in an environment that fosters the Aloha spirit, personal growth and healing for body, mind, and spirit.
We also offer classes and workshops for continuing education (CEU's).

In Late Winter of 2010, the Big Island Adademy of Massage (BIAOM) was taken over by Yahavah Mathison. Yahavah has a long history within the health industry and has been focused on natural methods of healing for over 40 years. Yahavah joyfully and wisely
combines all of her healing professional interests as a gifted
healer, massage practitioner & teacher, yoga teacher professional astrologer,
spiritual teacher, and a
poet-singer-musician.
