Level 2 (420 hours) Tuition:$ 2140 (15% discount if paid 60 days in advance/in full )
- Provides a deeper understanding of soft tissue manipulations for students with a minimum of 150 hours Level 1 prior training. Explores Spa and Aromatherapy techniques, Hawaiian Lomilomi, client assessment, sports massage, musculo-skeletal injuries, hygiene, body-mind relationships, deep tissue massage, ethics, and more. Advanced classes include facial spa massage techniques, Pre-Natal massage, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Reflexology
- More Advanced classes are TBA as the the course goes on as we constantly have teachers who offer to teach
- Internship (6-12 months)
The Internship/student clinic provides practical experience in a clinical setting, and is required for Hawaii licensure. Weekly classes reinforce academics in a supportive environment, and the students master techniques for wellness as well as injury care. In the clinic students learn to care for special populations: athletes, the elderly, disabled, community groups, and the general population. Taken concurrently with (not separately from) Level 2.

NOTE: The Big Island Academy of Massage is approved by theHawaii board of Massage Therapy and AMTA school member in excellent stading.The current state requirements are 570 hours prior to taking the licensing exam. You can call the Dept.of Commerce and Coomunity Affairs at (808) 586-3000, if you have questions regarding requirements. The Big Island Academy`s current and new requirements can satisfy the academics to be eligible for examination with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). Check your area for up-to-date licensing laws.
Advanced programs:
- Continuing Education. Once a foundation (Level 1 minimum) has been completed, or once a therapist is licensed, Continuing Education provides an exciting way to learn more about topics of special interest and earn Cat. A CEUs.
- Workshops are also available for peoples who are just interested in learning casual massage. Check our upcoming Continuing Education Classes or contact us to be on our mailing list. It is a great way to include your vacation with your continuing education.
