Amy Doff, LMT, MPH, From Boston, has lived in Hawai`i since 2000. She is passionate  about  the human body and its functions. She completed 997 hours of coursework and was a Teaching Assistant for Level I  students at the Hawaiian Islands School of Body Therapies, in Kona.. While working as a massage therapist, she went back to UH Hilo,  for her Bachelor’s, with a plan to teach in the future. While at UH Hilo, she created and led a year long Human Anatomy & Physiology study group and after graduating she tutored a group of pre-Nursing students and allied health students through the same rigorous course.  Amy majored in Anthropology, focusing on health, and minored in Occupational Safety & Health and earned her Master’s in Public Health, from UH Manoa, focusing on Health Policy and Management. Amy loves to teach and is excited to show Big Island Academy students how amazing Human Anatomy & Physiology truly is.

Rachel Gonzalez  LMT-- Hands On Massage therapy & Demonstration  Born and raised in Hilo Hi, Rachel has been passionately involved in massage therapy for over 5 years, specializing in working with doctors, physical therapist and chiropractors. She is truly in love and fascinated by the wondrous and beautiful human body and all of its amazing capabilities. She is presently furthering her education by studying Chinese Medicine at TCMCH. She is very excited about sharing her passion and passing it down to the students of Big Island Academy of Massage.

Brenda Nelson-Garlow LMT -- Is our Hands On Massage Therapy & Demonstration.   Has been in Transcendental Meditation since 1975 and Yoga since 1978 Later. Her Massage career began in 1993  in Boulder College of Massage Therapy Swedish, Shiatsu, Sports, Neuro-Muscular Therapy, Polarity, Integrative, Orthopedic Massage. She owned and operated "Special Touch Massage at the Hot Springs Lodge & Pool, Inc. in the Colorado Rocky and was 1st core staff of professional massage therapists at the Ritz Carlton, Aspen, Colorado. Brenda taught many  massage modalities workshops  in many US states. She Studied Thai Massage at the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Chiang Mai, Thailand.  Called  "the  rich man's yoga". She hold several degrees and certificates of teacher’s achievements in Professional Massage as well as in Yoga Therapy 

Yahavah Mathison, LMT  is the New Owner of Big Island Academy of Massage.  French Born in Casablanca Morocco, Yahavah has been Practicing Massage since 1972. She was born into it she says. Yahavah has studied massage in many different countries and applies her many talents in many different modes of Massage from Swedish to Indian Massage to Deep Tissue, Acupressure,Yoga massage, Shiatsu, Lomi, Reflexology, Polarity, Pre-natal Massage, Thai, Her Integrative Body work, comprises knowledge of all these modalities and techniques,

Lindsey Shannon LMT  Is a Lomi  Lomi - Thai and Shiatsu Certified Practitioner  beside the Swedish Massage required by the Hawaii state Licensing for Massage Licensing.  Lindsey is born in Alaska but has been living in Hawaii 14 years. She teaches our Beginner and Advanced Lomi Lomi classes.
